We are big believers in preventative care, and our goal is to help you maintain your healthy teeth and gums for life through proactive check-ups and ongoing dental hygiene. As much as we encourage forward thinking, being available when you need us is a big part of the Trinity Family Dental commitment. Accidents happen, and part of our service is to support your dental health in emergency situations. Emergencies are seen the same day, whenever possible. If you or your child has a dental emergency, whether it's a knocked-out tooth or sudden onset pain, or an unusual situation that has you concerned, please contact us immediately at 905-579-5551.

Being able to offer the latest in dental technology in our office means that we have help for those who would rather suffer the pain of a toothache than spend any time in a dentist's chair. If you are avoiding visiting us, even for a regular check-up, because you're nervous about what it feels like to have someone work on your teeth, talk to us. Skipping your check-ups is not an ideal solution to your nervousness or fear. The cost of regular oral care and comprehensive exams is far less than the expense of dental treatment, and is covered by many insurance plans. We understand your concerns and we have solutions. Our goal is to make your visits with us relaxing and comfortable. Ask us about sedation when you book your dental appointment - and we'll help you keep it!

When we talk about "family" dentistry, we are referring to the routine visits for Mom, Dad and the kids. For most people, it's the same as "general" dentistry for all ages, starting with the first baby teeth. Generally speaking, routine care includes checkups (to find potential problems and solve them early) and cleanings, plus education on at-home ongoing dental care. We usually have a few fillings along the way, and occasionally a more extensive repair or extraction to deal with damage or infection. Always, our goal is ensuring the best oral health for the longest time possible.

A regular dental check-up should be performed about twice a year for most patients, though some do require more frequent visits to stay on top of potential or existing health issues. A routine annual check-up will include several steps. The key component that everyone anticipates is the standard exam during which we look for signs of tooth decay, and examine the condition of existing fillings, implants, crowns and so on. What patients don't always realize is that this exam also includes an evaluation of your gums and bones, checking for signs of disease, as well as a screening for oral cancer. Your check-up will likely also include digital x-rays, which help to turn up much more than just cavities - with diagnostic imaging, we can detect the early stages of cysts, tumors or bone loss. And finally, your routine care may include a professional cleaning to remove stains, plaque and/or tartar from the surfaces of your teeth.

We don't acquire customers - we build lasting relationships with patients. If you are looking for a dentist in Whitby, call 905-579-5551.
